Legal Issues with Physician Arrangements and Other Referral Sources–Lynn M. Barrett

  • This session will cover recent trends with physician and other referral source arrangements, including takeaways from recent cases.

Compliance Trends, Including Medical Necessity–Myla R. Reizen and Tim Renjilian

  • This session will cover various compliance trends, focusing on recent trends with government settlements, investigations, auditing, and reviews. There will be a particular focus on medical necessity.

Accountable Care Organizations—Key Legal and Operational Issues Under New Federal Guidance–Lynn M. Barrett and David G. Radlauer

  • This session will cover some of the significant key legal and operational issues under recent federal ACO guidance. Some of the areas to be covered will include anti-trust, tax, fraud and abuse, and other regulatory issues.

HIPAA & HITECH—Where Are We Now and Where Are We Going?–Lynn M. Barrett and Elizabeth White

  • HIPAA and HITECH continue to evolve: this session will cover the unique interplay between in-house and outside counsel perspectives on HIPAA and HITECH.
