On December 3, 2009, Jones Walker will host a state and local tax seminar in Lafayette, Louisiana, titled "Louisiana State & Local Tax Update." Members of Jones Walker's State & Local Tax team will lead the half-day seminar, which will be held at The City Club at River Ranch. Attendees will learn about the latest developments in Louisiana state and local taxation, including hot topics in state and local tax law. This program will be directed toward individuals with moderate to extensive experience with state and local tax matters.

The program will begin with lunch, then attorneys Jesse R. Adams, III, William M. Backstrom, Jr., Andre B. Burvant, Louis S. Nunes, III, and Kimberly Lewis Robinson will present and discuss case studies focusing on Louisiana local sales/use tax levity, inter-jurisdictional commerce and sourcing of sales, determining sales price, and Louisiana tax procedure and administration.
