Griffith Appointed to Louisiana Advisory Committee to U.S. Commission on Civil Rights

GriffithPartner Neely Sharp Griffith has been appointed to the Louisiana Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights for a two-year term, effective June 3, 2010. The Committee comprises citizens familiar with local and state civil rights issues, and is tasked with assisting the Commission in its fact-finding and investigative functions. The Commission has a total of 51 State Advisory Committees—one for each state and the District of Columbia. Individual members of these committees are recommended by the regional director of their area, approved by the Staff Director, and voted upon at a regular meeting of the Commissioners.
