Corporate & Securities partner Hugh C. Nickson, III was quoted in an article in the Birmingham Business Journal titled "Odenville Developer to Raise $10M in Public Market." In the article, Mr. Nickson explained that the public markets were still a viable alternative to raise capital even though being a public company imposed relatively high compliance costs, especially since the enactment of Sarbanes-Oxley. Mr. Nickson also noted that public offerings seem to be on the rise, which may signal revival in several sectors.
