Partner Michael D. Waters and special counsel Katharine F. Musso, members of the firm's Banking & Financial Services Practice Group, co-authored an article in the Summer 2010 edition of Banking Traditions, the magazine of the Community Bankers Association of Alabama (CBAA). The article, titled "BSA/AML: A Hot Topic Once Again," focuses on the elements of a successful Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML) compliance program. Ms. Musso and Mr. Waters also discuss April 2010 revisions to the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council's BSA/AML Manual, and how these revisions could affect community banks.
