Fischer Authors Reference Handbook on the Comprehensive General Liability Policy
December 2010

Madeleine Fischer served as Assistant Editor for "The Reference Handbook on the Comprehensive General Liability Policy" (American Bar Association 2010). Ms. Fischer is co-chair of the firm’s Insurance Coverage Practice Group along with Covert J. Geary and Gary J. Russo. In the commercial insurance industry, the Commercial General Liability (CGL) policy is the most prevalent product. CGL policies are the most common form of liability insurance purchased by both the public and private sectors throughout the United States. CGL policies are also the most litigated insurance product in the marketplace. CGL policies provide the insured with the broadest spectrum of protection and, most importantly, they transfer to the insurer the risk of liabilities for unintentional and unexpected personal injury or property damage arising out of the conduct of the insured's business.
