Legal Marketing Association Inducts Kim A. Perret into the Hall of Fame

LAS VEGAS—The Legal Marketing Association ("LMA") selected Kim A. Perret, Chief Marketing Officer of Jones Walker LLP, to be inducted into the LMA Hall of Fame. The award was presented to Kim on April 9, 2013, at the LMA Annual Conference in Las Vegas.

"It is truly an honor to be recognized by the Legal Marketing Association," said Kim Perret. "My involvement in LMA has been the foundation of my professional development over the years."

The LMA Hall of Fame Award celebrates individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the Legal Marketing Association and the legal marketing industry. The honor represents the highest levels of experience and leadership in legal marketing and recognizes contributions made by individuals for the benefit of the industry, the association, and its community of professionals.

As a member of Jones Walker's executive management team, Kim is responsible for directing the firm's overall business development, client service, marketing communications, and marketing technology initiatives. Prior to joining Jones Walker in November 2012, Kim served as Director of Marketing and Client Development at Hunton & Williams for five years. She led Hunton & Williams' strategic client development and marketing initiatives, as well as the firm's communications, marketing technology, client team, and public relations efforts.

For the majority of her legal marketing career to date, Kim worked with Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP, where she served as the Director of Marketing for 10 years before assuming the role of Chief Marketing Officer in January 2004. At Sutherland, she worked with the Executive Committee, practice group heads, attorneys, and business development team members to identify opportunities to increase the firm's and practice groups' visibility, and expand the firm's client base regionally and nationally.

Kim has been involved in LMA for many years as both a member and a leader. Beginning in 2001, she was elected to two successive terms as president of the LMA Capital Chapter, significantly increasing its membership and visibility. She was the sole inductee to the chapter's 2012 Hall of Fame Class. In 2006, she was elected president of the international LMA.

In addition to her involvement with LMA, Kim is an associate member of the ABA and a member of the Law Firm Management Section, and is a longtime member of the Zeughauser CMO Leadership Roundtable. She is also involved in a number of community groups and now serves as a board member and chair of the Resource Development Committee for The Pro Bono Project, an organization of lawyers, law firm leaders, educators, and consultants providing free legal services to the poor in New Orleans.
