Senator Cochran's Former General Counsel Brad Davis to Join Jones Walker

JACKSON, May 28, 2015—Jones Walker LLP announced today that Brad C. Davis will join the firm's Jackson, Mississippi office. 

Mr. Davis will join as special counsel and a member of the firm's Public Finance team. His practice will focus on state and local government financing transactions for municipalities, counties, school districts, universities, community colleges, utility districts, and special use districts.

"I am delighted that Brad Davis is bringing his ability, experience, and leadership to our law firm," said Governor William F. Winter, founding member of the firm's Mississippi Public Finance group. "I look forward to working closely with him as a member of our Public Finance team."

Mr. Davis previously served in the Office of Mississippi Senator Thad Cochran. He was the Senator's Legislative Assistant and Counsel from 2005 to 2007, and he served as State Office Director & General Counsel from 2008 to 2015.

Mr. Davis serves as Secretary of the Federal Bar Association's Mississippi Chapter. He is a member of The Mississippi Bar and The University of Mississippi Alumni Association. 

Mr. Davis earned his juris doctor degree from The University of Mississippi School of Law in 2004 and his bachelor's degree in business administration in 2001 from The University of Mississippi School of Business Administration.
