Jones Walker Gaming Partners are Contributing Authors to International Comparative Legal Guide to: Gambling 2017

New Orleans, December 29, 2017 – In recognition of their experience, five Jones Walker partners, Nicole M. Duarte, Marc W. Dunbar, J. Kelly Duncan, Kirkland E. Reid, and Thomas B. Shepherd III, were contributing authors for the recently published International Comparative Legal Guide to: Gambling 2017. Each gaming attorney wrote the chapter for their respective states of Texas, Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi.
 
The chapters that were written by Jones Walker gaming practitioners cover current gaming regulations in their home states. 
  • Ms. Duarte, a partner in the Houston office, authored Chapter 30, which focuses on Texas gaming.
  • Mr. Dunbar, a partner in the Tallahassee office, wrote Chapter 27, giving readers a snapshot of gambling law in Florida
  • Mr. Duncan, head of the firm’s gaming practice in the New Orleans office, contributed Chapter 28, concentrating on Louisiana gaming. 
  • Mr. Reid, a partner in the Mobile office, wrote Chapter 26, exploring the Alabama gaming landscape.  
  • Mr. Shepherd, a partner in the Jackson office, authored Chapter 29, focusing on Mississippi gaming rules.
