Jones Walker attorney Fred Chevalier was quoted in The Wall Street Journal article titled “Bush Sees Progress on Gulf Coast Visit.” The April 28th article talked about President Bush’s recent visit to the Gulf Coast and the problems that are still lingering. Chevalier was quoted saying “ We’ve found that a lot of it is somewhat impractical” in reference to President Bush’s Go Zone package, a tax initiative that is aimed at helping businesses get back on their feet after Hurricane Katrina. Chevalier explains that the program will remain unattractive to businesses unless the White House backs a series of technical modifications to the package.
