Chad A. Grand Strengthens Jones Walker’s Intellectual Property Practice

BATON ROUGE, La.—The firm is pleased to announce that Chad A. Grand has joined the firm as an associate in the Intellectual Property practice area within the Business & Finance Practice Group. He will practice from the firm’s Baton Rouge office.

Mr. Grand is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and brings to Jones Walker extensive knowledge and experience in patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution, transactions and litigation. His experience also includes patent drafting; transfer and licensing of intellectual property; and preparation and enforcement of employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, and noncompete agreements. 

Mr. Grand received his Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law degrees from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University in 2005. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology in 2000. Mr. Grand was named to the Dean’s List and was a member of Beta Beta Beta and the National Honor Society. Prior to joining Jones Walker, he was an associate with Durio, McGoffin, Stagg and Ackermann in Lafayette, Louisiana. He also served as Judicial law clerk to Judge Brenda Bedsole Ricks in the 21st Judicial District Court.
