2010 Best Lawyers in America Rankings Showcase Jones Walker’s Depth, Growth
August 11, 2009

Press Release

NEW ORLEANS—For the third consecutive year, Jones Walker sits atop the annual peer-review attorney and practice area rankings among Louisiana-based firms in The Best Lawyers in America® 2010 (Copyright 2009 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, SC).

Jones Walker has 12 top-ranked practices in the state of Louisiana, and 24 top-ranked practice areas in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans, La.; Miami, Fla.; and Mobile, Ala. markets.

"These new practice area and attorney rankings are a testament to our growth and depth, especially in the Mobile and Miami markets," said Managing Partner William H. Hines. "Most importantly, these rankings illustrate that we're able to provide our clients with exceptional legal services across a wide range of practices," he added.

Best Lawyers, established in 1983, is universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Best Lawyers ratings are based on exhaustive peer-review surveys in which thousands of attorneys cast more than two million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas. Attorneys are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed; inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered, therefore, a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers "the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice."
