LAFAYETTE, La.—Jones Walker announced today that Dennis L. Doise will join the firm as a special counsel in the firm's Lafayette, La. office, effective January 1, 2010.

Mr. Doise's practice focuses on general corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, real estate, banking, and commercial law. He was a named partner of the Perret Doise firm before it became Longman Russo, APLC, which merged with Jones Walker in February 2009. Currently, Mr. Doise serves as the General Counsel of River Ranch Development, LLC.

"My recent work in-house with River Ranch has been an extraordinary experience, but I am excited about returning to private practice while continuing to work with River Ranch on its expansion. A 1972 graduate of the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law, Mr. Doise is admitted to practice in Louisiana. He received his bachelor of science degree from Louisiana State University in 1970. Mr. Doise is a member of the Lafayette Parish Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. In addition, he is a member of the Louisiana Bankers Association and the John M. Duhé Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
