Jones Walker's Labor & Employment attorneys comprise an essential part of the firm's Disaster Preparedness & Recovery Client Team. We are available to assist employers with a wide range of disaster-related issues, including crisis management, employee compensation and benefits, military and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave, Worker Adjustment and Retraining (WARN) Act obligations before mass layoffs and plant closings, Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), immigration, disaster relief for employers and employees, and the development of preparedness and recovery plans.

Following Hurricane Katrina, Jones Walker was hired by clients to conduct employee seminars, informing individual employees on matters such as insurance, FEMA, SBA, and other related issues.
