A partner in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group with more than 25 years of experience, Joe Lowenthal advises and litigates for a variety of individual and corporate clients primarily in the fields of health care, insurance coverage, contract, and tort.  His clients include colleges and universities, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, hospitals, and physicians.

Representative matters include litigation on behalf of a managed care service organization in multiple federal and state district courts across the United States.  He was responsible for identifying, managing, and coordinating the national defense for the managed service organization.

He is also actively involved in first-party insurance recovery for clients for their property damage and business income losses caused by Hurricane Katrina.  The value of these claims exceeds $600 million.
