Mick Mauldin is a native of Laurel, Mississippi. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Mauldin served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserve and later as staff counsel to the Committee on Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, until he entered private practice in Baton Rouge.

Mr. Mauldin's practice is predominantly transactional, although he periodically is involved in federal and state tax litigation. Mr. Mauldin has a tax, general corporate, and trust and estate practice. His primary areas of concentration include federal and state taxation, tax controversies, general corporate law, and estate planning and administration.
