Mike Perry is a partner in the firm’s Baton Rouge office.  His primary areas of practice include commercial and corporate finance transactions, real estate acquisition and development, and general commercial contracts for both public and private companies.  He has a broad range of experience in representing borrowers and lenders in structuring, negotiating and documenting both syndicated and non-syndicated credit facilities, with a particular emphasis on real estate development related financings. 

Mr. Perry also has experience in organizing and structuring closely held companies, joint ventures and partnerships and in the negotiating and preparation of numerous other types of sophisticated commercial contracts, including, without limitation, commercial real estate leases,  both office and retail, employment and consulting contracts, distributorship and manufacturing agreements, construction and demolition contracts, and equipment leases. 

His background also includes involvement in numerous reorganization and restructuring matters, including asset acquisitions in bankruptcy cases.

Mr. Perry, a native of Dallas, Texas, graduated magna cum laude from Louisiana State University in 1976 with a degree in Economics, where his honors included selection to Phi Beta Kappa, and obtained his law degree from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1980, where he was selected to the Louisiana Law Review and the Order of the Coif.
