Louie Quinn leads the firm's Real Estate Practice Group. He has more than 20 years of experience and concentrates his practice on the areas of real estate development, real estate finance, affordable housing, retail leasing, business and commercial law as well as commercial lending, investment, and financing transactions.

Mr. Quinn has a broad business background with a focus in real estate and financing transactions. He has advised numerous clients in connections with the purchase, sale and leasing of a wide assortment of residential, commercial, and industrial properties, including multi-family housing projects, correctional facilities, retail developments, office buildings, health care facilities, mixed-use projects, condominium developments, hotels, and manufacturing properties, and development. 

Mr. Quinn earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Louisiana State University in 1978, and went on to attend the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, graduating in 1983. Mr. Quinn was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1983 and to the Florida Bar in 1995. Mr. Quinn continued his educational pursuits and earned his Master of Science in Community Counseling from Georgia State University in 1990.

Representative Matters

  • Represented lead underwriter in the $294,000,000 refinancing of the Louisiana Superdome following Hurricane Katrina. Recognized as the Southeast Region Deal of the Year by The Bond Buyer.
  • General counsel for the 6th largest fitness company in the United States.  Negotiated over 1,000,000 square feet of retail leases for gyms, health clubs and fitness centers in multiple states.
  • Real estate counsel to The Road Home Program – the single largest housing recovery program in U.S. History - Hurricane Katrina
  • Real estate counsel to The Road Home- LIHTC-CBDG Piggyback Program – provides financing for the construction and development of affordable, mixed-use housing for areas affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita
  • General counsel to privately-held real estate development company – acquisition, construction, management, development, financing and disposition of hotels and multi-family projects in multiple states
  • General counsel to national nonprofit involved in the acquisition, financing, development, management and operation of nursing homes, assisted living centers, affordable housing projects and student housing projects in multiple states
  • Represented the Borrower in the issuance of approximately $235,000,000 in tax-exempt and taxable bonds, to finance the acquisition and construction of a student housing facility. The transaction was the first public-private partnership transaction closed under the New Jersey Stimulus Act.
  • Represented the Borrower in the issuance of approximately $197,400,000 in taxable bonds, to finance the acquisition and financing of eleven private correctional facilities in multiple states.
  • Represented the Borrower in the issuance of approximately $223,875,000 in tax-exempt bonds, to finance the construction of three state correctional facilities.
  • Represented leading international mining company in the negotiation of the office lease for its world-wide headquarters – approximately 250,000 square feet
