Jack Shannon is a partner in the firm’s Business & Finance Practice Group and has been practicing law for more than 25 years, predominantly in the areas of banking, international, and corporate law. His practice focuses on capital markets and financial transactions in Latin America.  He represents international global banking corporations, other financial institutions, and corporations in a broad spectrum of international corporate, structured, and project finance transactions.  He has advised clients in connection with Eurobond and other foreign debt offerings, foreign debt restructurings, private placements, registered securities offerings, exchange offers, tender offers, derivatives, commercial paper, global depository receipts, certificate of deposit programs, international letter of credit backed facilities, mortgage and other asset-backed (including export, credit card, and other receivables) transactions, oil and gas transactions, lease financings (involving aircraft, airports, ships, electrical transmission lines, and telecommunications equipment), international toll road financings, and foreign government debt offerings and restructurings.  Many foreign debt offerings have coupled private placements in the United States and the Euro-markets (pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S) with public offerings in the issuer's country of incorporation. 

Mr. Shannon is also very experienced in working with multi-lateral lenders such as the International Finance Corporation, the United States Export-Import Bank, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and the Japanese Bank of International Cooperation and with domestic and foreign clearing systems, stock exchanges, and governmental trade, insurance, and financing institutions.
