David Sofge is a member of the firm’s Business & Finance Practice Group, practicing primarily in the area of banking and financial services law, with an emphasis on corporate lending transactions, financial restructuring and loan work-outs, loan participations and intercreditor arrangements, bond financings, and commercial real estate transactions, both domestic and international. He represents banks, insurance companies, and other institutions in a broad range of financing transactions and in product design and development for domestic and offshore programs, including the utilization of structured finance techniques for investment funds and specialized insurance products. He has also provided representation to financial institutions in matters involving defaulted bonds and securitization programs, FSLIC, RTC, and FDIC receiverships, and the disposition of securitized assets through litigation, negotiated settlements, asset foreclosures, and other techniques for the winding up or rehabilitation of distressed financing arrangements.
