Andy St. Romain is a partner in the firm's Real Estate Practice Group and is a member of the Energy Industry Team. His practice involves a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including oil and gas leasing and infrastructure, mixed use and other retail development, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, and title examinations. He also has experience working on purchase agreements, lease agreements, development agreements, negotiating financing terms, and forming business corporations and limited liability companies. Mr. St. Romain has also been involved in the preparation of oil and gas title opinions as well as due diligence aspects of producing property acquisitions.

Mr. St. Romain’s real estate practice includes acquisition, development, planning, management, land use, and zoning. He has extensive experience in negotiating purchase, lease, and development agreements; financing acquisitions; and commercial developments for national retailers and local developers. He also handles land use and zoning matters for commercial and industrial sites as well as traditional neighborhood developments.

His commercial finance experience includes the representation of developers and lenders in commercial real estate acquisitions, refinances and preparation of private-party loan documents. Mr. St. Romain also has experience representing clients before planning commissions and city councils. In addition, he has served as borrower's counsel for HUD financed transactions and local counsel for national title insurance companies.

Mr. St. Romain is a licensed CPA with prior tax and governmental audit experience and serves as an adjunct professor at the Southern University Law Center where he teaches a class on sales and leases. He volunteers his time in the form of pro bono work and serving on the board of directors for a local nonprofit organization.

Representative Matters

  • Represented the developer in the acquisition, financing and development of sixteen retail pharmacy sites, approximately $56,000,000.
  • Served as counsel to a regional bank in matters relating to the daily operations of customer accounts.
  • Represented a national retailer for the sale of fuel stations throughout the state of Louisiana.
