Amanda Wells is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, focusing her practice primarily on real estate financing. Following the destruction of much of south Louisiana from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, she worked closely with a diverse group of clients developing multi-family housing projects. She successfully closed more than a half billion dollars in loans for more than 36 projects in devastated areas of the state. Ms. Wells is also engaged in drafting land use restrictions and creating blueprints for new developments throughout the state. As part of her practice she specializes in negotiating loan documents, bank financing and refinancing transactions.
Prior to joining Jones Walker, Ms. Wells practiced commercial defense litigation in Mobile, Alabama. After graduating from Wake Forest University in 2000, she spent a year in New York working for a nationally recognized technology company developing web based software solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Ms. Wells received her J.D. from Tulane Law School in 2004.
She is licensed to practice in Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.
