Richard Wolfe, a member of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group, joined the firm in January 1997 as a partner and became special counsel in 2006. He has more than 40 years of experience in corporate, securities, and merger and acquisition transactions and has represented a number of public companies as lead counsel in such transactions.

Mr. Wolfe's practice has involved counseling public and private companies in a wide variety of corporate matters including initial and subsequent public equity offerings, tender offers, proxy contests, venture capital transactions, U.S. and foreign mergers and acquisitions, private offerings of securities, D&O insurance, spinoffs, and special litigation committees in derivative shareholder suits. He has broad experience in negotiating and drafting a range of corporate and securities documents. Mr. Wolfe was certified as a Tax Specialist by the Specialization Board (Taxation) of the Louisiana State Bar Association (1986–1996). 

Prior to joining the firm he headed the corporate department at the New Orleans law firm of Monroe & Lemann, where he practiced for 33 years. He is a native of Mississippi.
