Ed Crosland practices in the area of corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on banking and financial services. Mr. Crosland represents banks, thrifts, and various other financial institutions. Mr. Crosland has particular experience in the areas of corporate and securities law matters, state and federal banking regulatory issues, mergers and acquisitions, thrift stock conversions, and bank and thrift charter conversions. He has represented clients in public offerings and private placements, banking law compliance, mutual holding company reorganizations, "going private" transactions, and related matters.
Following completion of his legal education, Mr. Crosland became a staff attorney in the Division of Corporation Finance at the Securities and Exchange Commission. For two years he was assigned to the Senate Banking Committee in connection with its review of the U.S. securities markets. Mr. Crosland entered the private practice of law in 1975 and has practiced in the commercial area his entire career.
