Hope Spencer is an associate in the firm's Corporate & Securities Practice Group and practices from the firm's New Orleans office. Her transactional practice is primarily focused on executive compensation, including equity incentive plans, bonus plans, employment agreements, and change of control agreements. She works with clients of varying sizes and needs, including start-up entities, private partnerships, and large public issuers.
Ms. Spencer has worked with several financial services institutions in addressing compensation issues raised by participation in the U.S. Treasury's Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP).
Prior to joining Jones Walker, Ms. Spencer worked as a staff attorney for Orleans Public Defenders, representing indigent clients in both misdemeanor and felony matters in Orleans Parish Criminal District court. During the 2004–2005 term, she clerked for the Honorable Stephen H. Glickman of the D.C. Court of Appeals.
