Michael Lemoine is a partner in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group. He joined Jones Walker in 2009, and previously worked for the law firm of Longman Russo, APLC, where he practiced in the area of litigation.
Mr. Lemoine's practice focuses on litigation in the fields of admiralty and maritime, oil and gas, drilling and production, construction, products liability, auto, and general commercial liability matters. He has significant experience with insurance and contract disputes.
In the mid-1990s, Mr. Lemoine served as state wide coverage counsel in Louisiana for The Aetna Casualty and Surety Company, where he provided commercial liability policy coverage opinions. Today, Mr. Lemoine continues to provide this service to the insurance industry with regard to policies ranging from autos to complex commercial policies. Mr. Lemoine also has extensive experience in subrogation litigation on behalf of insurance companies, as well as bad faith litigation, including uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims. Many of Mr. Lemoine's successful cases are reported extensively in both Louisiana federal and state appeals decisions in Lexis and Westlaw.
