Michael McDonald is special counsel in the firm's Government Relations Practice Group. He practices from the firm's Washington, D.C. office.

Mr. McDonald works with Jones Walker's team of government relations professionals and represents clients in the maritime, energy, defense, mining, and banking industries. He also represents institutions of higher learning and state and local government entities. His government relations practice also has included representation of foreign governments in their dealings with both Congress and government agencies.

Mr. McDonald has a broad range of experience in both public and private international law, including international arbitration, representing companies and sovereign states before international arbitral panels and international organizations, and working with clients on a number of issues related to international humanitarian and human rights law.
