Mary Margaret Spell is a partner in the firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group and practices from the firm's New Orleans office. 

Ms. Spell's practice involves cases brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and similar state and local laws governing employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Ms. Spell's practice also includes wage and hour compliance and litigation, and she has represented employers in numerous Fair Labor Standards Act collective actions and state law wage and hour class actions. Her litigation experience also includes defending employers in breach of contract and employment-related tort claims. Ms. Spell defends employers and management before state and federal courts at the trial and appeal levels as well as before administrative bodies, such as the United States Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and similar state agencies.

Ms. Spell joined Jones Walker in 2009 upon graduation from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, where she received her juris doctor degree and Diploma in Civil Law. She is a 2006 graduate of the College of Charleston Honors College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English.
