Renee Jenkins is a special counsel in Jones Walker's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group and practices from the firm's Miami office. Her practice includes real estate litigation and mortgage foreclosures, and she has experience with commercial litigation, workouts, insurance litigation, insurance defense, insurance coverage disputes, bad faith litigation, and pharmaceutical litigation. Ms. Jenkins primarily represents financial institutions in contested foreclosures on single-family, multi-family, and commercial real estate.
Ms. Jenkins also has a great deal of prior experience with real estate title insurance services, and was a solo practitioner in this area from 2006–2008, assisting clients with municipal code regulation compliance, including land use and zoning and master plan agreements.
Prior to joining Jones Walker, Ms. Jenkins worked as an associate with Adorno & Yoss in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in that firm's Business Litigation section. A 2002 graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, Ms. Jenkins also served as a judicial clerk for the late Honorable Wilkie D. Ferguson in spring 2002. She is a 1999 graduate of Florida A&M University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business, magna cum laude.
