Brett Venn is a partner in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group and practices from the firm's New Orleans office. His practice focuses on a variety of business and commercial disputes, including energy, general contract, and shareholder derivative litigation. He has recently represented companies in disputes under the Louisiana Oil Well Lien Act, in construction lien and contract disputes, and in litigation arising out of the Bayou Corne sinkhole in Assumption Parish, Louisiana. He also has experience in investigations involving allegations of commercial kickbacks and conflicts of interest. 

Mr. Venn joined Jones Walker following a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Chief Justice Gerry L. Alexander of the Washington State Supreme Court. He was a Teach For America corps member in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, from 2003–2005.
