Walker Wells is an associate in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group and practices from the firm's Birmingham office. His practice focuses mainly on corporate and commercial litigation, and has included complex securities litigation,
financial and banking litigation, corporate defense and indemnity,
products liability defense, complex construction dispute litigation,
and insurance coverage work. In 2008, Mr. Wells helped win a $2.3-million
verdict on behalf of a class of property investors in a complex
construction dispute.
Mr. Wells currently serves as the President of the Junior Board for the Lakeshore Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promotes independence and provides recreation, fitness, and training opportunities for persons with physically disabling conditions. He is also a chairperson for the Foundation's Amazing Race and Dog Tag Dash fundraising events, and was the primary founder of the Foundation's Young Professional volunteer group.
Mr. Wells is a 2002 graduate of Northwestern University, where he graduated with an honors major in
Creative Writing. He received his juris doctor degree from The University of Chicago Law School, where he served on the Chicago Journal of International
Law and participated in an independent study with Judge Richard Posner,
United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
