Krystal Scott is an associate in the Business and Commercial Litigation Practice Group. She practices in the firm's Houston office where she focuses her practice on litigation matters for energy-industry clients.
Ms. Scott's practice includes an emphasis on oil and gas matters, environmental litigation and regulation, complex litigation, and class actions. She has successfully represented energy clients in complex contract and property issues in the Haynesville Shale, in disputes involving working interest owners, operators, and royalty holders, in premises liability claims, and in personal injury claims.
Ms. Scott's experience also extends to the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Jones Walker, Ms. Scott represented hospital systems and other healthcare providers while working at Fulbright & Jaworski. Ms. Scott handled cases for these clients ranging from malpractice, to licensing, to labor and employment.
Ms. Scott served as a law clerk from 2006-2007 to the Honorable W. Royal Furgeson in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, San Antonio Division. She is a 2006 honors graduate of the University of Houston Law Center, where she served as Articles Editor for the Houston Law Review. She received her bachelor of arts degree, magna cum laude, from Trinity University in 2003.
