Louis Simon is special counsel in the firm's Business and Commercial Litigation Practice Group, and he practices from the firm's Lafayette office. Mr. Simon's practice areas include maritime, personal injury, and commercial litigation. He has more than 30 years of experience evaluating client's litigation risks, advising clients on corporate and business matters, and drafting commercial agreements. 

Prior to joining Jones Walker, Mr. Simon serviced clients for nearly 20 years as a partner at the law firm of Laborde & Neuner in Lafayette. He most recently served as the Administrator and General Counsel for the Louisiana Board of Ethics, which also acts as the Supervisory Committee on Campaign Finance Disclosure, Lobbyist Disclosure, and the Elections Integrity Commission. 

Mr. Simon obtained his juris doctor degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at the Louisiana State University and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University.
