Micky Cowan is a partner in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group and practices from the firm's Jackson office. With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Cowan's practice focuses primarily on litigation matters in banking and consumer finance, insurance, commercial litigation, and products liability. He has received many honors within the field and plays an active role as a member of The Mississippi Bar, the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association.
He is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi, where he was awarded a bachelor of science degree and a master of science degree, and the University of Mississippi, where he received his juris doctor degree, cum laude. While in law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Mississippi Law Journal, and he clerked for Judge E. Grady Jolly of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit after graduating from law school.
