Jim Tohill is a special counsel in the firm's Real Estate Practice Group and practices from the firm's Jackson office. He has over 30 years of experience in structuring complex development and financing projects in both the private and public sectors. Mr. Tohill serves as counsel to both lenders and borrowers and is associated as Mississippi counsel in multi-state transactions.
His portfolio of projects includes a newsprint mill, shopping centers, hotels, automobile dealerships, assisted living facilities, hunting clubs, new urbanism developments, mixed use condominiums, and power plants. He also works with a publicly owned fifty thousand acre water supply district with residential, commercial, and mixed use leasehold development, as well as water supply to the City of Jackson, Mississippi. Mr. Tohill is a member of and former legislative liaison for Dixie Land Title Association, Inc., and a former member of the American Land Title Association.
