Tania Klam is an associate in Jones Walker's Business and Commercial Litigation Practice Group and operates from the firm's Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Klam has substantial litigation experience in several states and jurisdictions, and has handled a diverse array of matters.

Since joining the firm, Ms. Klam's practice has focused on commercial and real estate litigation. She has worked with a variety of clients handling distressed debt in Florida, New York, Washington D.C., and Virginia. Her clients have included regional and national banks, as well as independent investors. She has handled various title disputes, transactional matters, modifications, renewals, loan sales, satisfactions, foreclosures, as well as all aspects of special asset litigation in both state and federal courts, including successfully representing clients in appellate work. Ms. Klam has assisted clients in the recovery of tens of millions of dollars through post-judgment recovery.   

Ms. Klam began her legal career with the District Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, New York where she served as an Assistant District Attorney. While there she piloted numerous criminal cases through the state court system, gaining extensive and invaluable experience as a litigator. Since leaving the criminal practice, Ms. Klam has focused on matters of civil litigation, real estate litigation, bankruptcy, and real estate transactions. 

Ms. Klam graduated cum laude with special academic honors from George Mason University in 2006, receiving her bachelor's degree in Government and International Politics and a minor in Legal Studies. In 2009 she received her J.D. from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law. While at Penn State she held positions at the school's Elder Law Clinic where she assisted local elderly, and indigent clients with various legal matters. She also served as an intern with the United States Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C. in the felony major crimes and homicide divisions. During her summer breaks, she worked with a real estate attorney in Virginia and gained considerable experience handling real estate closings and probate matters. A native Arabic speaker, Ms. Klam brings this breadth of experience serving a diverse array of clients in various practice areas cultivated throughout the course of her career.
