Adam Matasar is an associate in the firm's Corporate & Securities Practice Group and practices from the firm's New Orleans office. He handles a variety of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, and securities law. In connection with the firm's developing Entertainment Practice Group, Mr. Matasar has also negotiated and drafted film distribution agreements, music record label, and side artist agreements, as well as various eCommerce agreements for both start-up and seasoned companies.

Prior to pursuing a career in law, Mr. Matasar established himself as a professional musician, performing with several internationally touring groups at numerous internationally acclaimed music venues and festivals, including New Orleans' own JazzFest, Voodoo Fest, and French Quarter Festival, and has composed music for and recorded on several albums that have been released by various independent record labels. Through his experiences performing, recording, and touring, he has had an opportunity to negotiate several music licensing, talent, and works-made-for-hire agreements. These experiences have afforded Mr. Matasar tremendous insight into the practical realities and results stemming from these agreements from the creative artist's perspective. He continues to perform and record music in his free time.

Mr. Matasar received his Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in 2005. He went on to earned his juris doctor degree in 2012 from Tulane University Law School, graduating summa cum laude. He completed a successful summer internship for the Honorable Ivan R.L. Lemelle of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
