Jerrod Maddox is an associate in the firm’s Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group and practices from the firm’s Miami and Mobile offices. He represents clients in state and federal courts throughout Florida and Alabama. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Maddox served as a law clerk for the Honorable William R. Sawyer, Chief United States Bankruptcy Court Judge for the Middle District of Alabama.

Mr. Maddox’s practice focuses on the representation of financial institutions and investors in a wide range of litigation and post-judgment recovery efforts. His representation of financial institutions includes a specific focus on creditor’s rights in bankruptcy courts throughout the Southeast. This routinely consists of the representation of secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 11, 7, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings, and the litigation of adversary proceedings regarding the discharge and dischargeability of debts. Mr. Maddox’s practice also includes the representation of investors and other institutions in state courts across Florida and Alabama in proceedings regarding commercial disputes, real estate transactions, and related matters.
