A successful entrepreneur and business owner in his own right, Mr. Moya has started and run numerous businesses ranging from media companies to consulting practices. Today he delivers effective, strategic advice to some of the world’s best-known businesses and brands. His clients include many well-known, publicly traded and privately held companies, as well as government entities such as AT&T, Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos, and State Farm Insurance. Recently Mr. Moya was appointed to the Federal Judicial Nominating Commission by U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) & Bill Nelson (D-FL). The commission selects candidates for lifetime appointment to Federal Judicial posts which will then be forwarded onto the White House for final consideration.

A native of Miami, Mr. Moya launched his first company in 1993 when he acquired limited rights to several distressed businesses, repositioned them in the local marketplace, and restored them to fiscal health. He later began his political career in the mid-1990s working with Miami mayoral candidate, Alex Penelas, helping Mr. Penelas become the first Executive Mayor of Miami-Dade County.

After working for Mayor Penelas, Mr. Moya was hired by then-Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives (and now U.S. Congressman) Daniel Webster (R-FL). Working closely with the republican majority, Mr. Moya quickly gained a reputation as an effective, policy-oriented problem solver and developed significant experience drafting, amending and championing legislation. Subsequently, Mr. Moya worked at the Florida Department of State in the Florida Division of Elections. He oversaw the state’s political action committees (PACs) and committees of continuance existence (CCEs), including their bylaws, practices, and financial records.

Mr. Moya provides a broad range of strategic development, public relations and consulting services in addition to serving on the boards of civic organizations, think tanks, and privately held corporations.
