Chuck Boudreaux is a member of the Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group and focuses his practice on health care issues. Mr. Boudreaux began his healthcare practice in 1980. The majority of his practice has been and continues to be the defense of healthcare providers in medical malpractice litigation, risk management, and transactional and regulatory healthcare matters; the latter including joint ventures, contractual, and compliance matters. He has tried dozens of medical malpractice jury trials to conclusion, in both state and federal courts.

Representative clients principally include physicians, healthcare facilities, and allied health professionals. A number of insurers of healthcare providers have approved Mr. Boudreaux as defense counsel for their insureds, as have self-insured healthcare providers. He has also represented state owned healthcare facilities in medical malpractice litigation as a special assistant attorney general.

Mr. Boudreaux has been an active member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) since 1983 and has actively served as a member of the National Medical Liability Committee of the Defense Research Institute. He also has served as the Louisiana State Liaison for the Medical Liability Committee of the Defense Research Institute.

Mr. Boudreaux has been appointed coordinating and lead attorney by one of his clients, a nationally based insurer, in their Cerebral Palsy, Anesthesia and Cardiac Emergency Projects. He has served on the Medical/Legal Interprofessional Committee of the Louisiana State Bar Association and Louisiana Medical Society since 1990 and continues to actively serve on this committee. He was Board Certified by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys in 1990, and is a member of the American Society of Law, Medicine and Bioethics.

Mr. Boudreaux is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Louisiana, including the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Boudreaux is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating attainable.
