Barry Turner is special counsel in Jones Walker LLP's Business and Commercial Litigation Practice Group and is resident in the firm's Miami office. Mr. Turner has experience litigating all aspects of bankruptcy cases including, but not limited to, administration of Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy estates on behalf of interested parties, landlords, trustees, unsecured creditors, and secured creditors. He has litigated, prosecuted, and defended proceedings brought in state, federal, and bankruptcy court for causes of action including residential and commercial foreclosure, fraudulent transfer, preferential transfer, post-petition transfers, breach of contract, assignments for the benefit of creditors, Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, Lanham Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, valuation, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, insurance malpractice, and attorney malpractice.

Mr. Turner worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert A. Mark, in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami, Florida from 2010 to 2011. During law school, he was a summer intern for the Honorable Laurel M. Isicoff, in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami, Florida in 2008.
