Brett Beter is an associate in the firm's Corporate & Securities Practice Group and practices from the firm's New Orleans office. He is a 2015 graduate of Tulane University Law School, where he received a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, and a Certificate in Civil Law. Mr. Beter was the Senior Notes and Comments Editor of the Sports Lawyers Journal, a Legal Research and Writing Senior Fellow, and the Treasurer of the Sports Law Society. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance, magna cum laude, and a minor in Political Science from Louisiana State University in 2012, where he was a two-semester Portfolio Manager for the $2 million Student Managed Investment Fund and also studied International Politics at Imperial College in London, England, through Louisiana State University's study abroad program.  

Prior to joining Jones Walker, Mr. Beter completed internships with the Oakland Raiders' football operations department, the New Orleans Saints' legal department, the Port of New Orleans' legal department, US Senator David Vitter, and the Honorable Judge Fredericka Homberg Wicker.
