Baton Rouge environmental special counsel, Boyd Bryan, authored an article titled, "Environmental Due Diligence in Mineral Property Transactions: Emerging Risks, Requirements, and Strategies," originally published in December 2005 by the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation in the Proceedings of the 51st Annual Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Institute (2005). The article examines the current grounds for environmental liability in oil and gas and mining transactions, emerging guidelines for performing environmental due diligence and preserving defenses, and strategies for managing environmental liability. Mr. Bryan gave an oral presentation of the paper at the 51st Annual Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Institute in Portland, Oregon in July 2005.
