Jeanne L. Amy is an associate in the Maritime Practice Group. She focuses on maritime litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters.
Jeanne advises clients in a variety of industries on litigation and transactional matters. Her litigation experience includes insurance coverage issues, indemnity disputes, complex commercial disputes, construction litigation, maritime lien disputes, vessel seizures and attachments, maritime personal injury cases, property damage cases, and vessel collisions and allisions. Jeanne also has experience in marine finance and the negotiation and drafting of maritime contracts, including master service agreements.
Prior to joining Jones Walker, Jeanne served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable W. Eugene Davis of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Jeanne earned her juris doctor, cum laude, from Tulane University Law School and received the John Minor Wisdom Award upon graduation. During law school, Jeanne served as the Editor-in-Chief of Volume 40 of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal and earned awards for the highest grades in Civil Law Property I and II and Obligations I.
