Stephanie M. Gilliam is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group.
Stephanie represents clients on a variety of contractual and business-related matters in state and federal courts, and in arbitration.
Stephanie also handles labor and employment matters that include claims before state and federal administrative bodies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and US Department of Labor, and litigation of claims arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and similar state and federal laws governing workplace rights and obligations.
Prior to joining Jones Walker, Stephanie served as in-house counsel to one of the nation’s leading oil and gas industry service providers. Stephanie worked exclusively in the area of labor and employment law, providing day-to-day general compliance advice to senior management and human resources professionals, assisting in the creation of personnel policies and procedures, and preparing and enforcing restrictive covenants and other employment-related agreements.
