Matt Kern is an associate in the firm's Business & Commercial Transactions Practice Group. His practice focuses primarily on public finance transactions, and he has experience in transactions involving the issuance of municipal bonds, both taxable and tax-exempt, where the firm has served as bond counsel, letter of credit bank counsel, trustee's counsel, and issuer's counsel. He also has experience in financing projects with the use of GO Zone bonds and the creation of special districts.
Mr. Kern received his juris doctor degree, cum laude, from the Southern University Law Center in 2008, and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University in 2004.
