Hughes Grehan is a member of the firm's board of directors.  His primary areas of practice include commercial and corporate finance transactions and general commercial contracts for both public and private companies.  He has extensive experience in representing borrowers and lenders in structuring, negotiating and documenting both syndicated and non-syndicated credit facilities, with a particular emphasis on maritime related financings, including all aspects of government guaranteed ship and shipyard financings under Title XI of the Merchant Marine Act of 1936, as amended. 

Mr. Grehan has recently worked extensively with one of the firm’s largest public company clients in connection with the relocation of that company’s headquarters and one of its major operational facilities.  Such work involved structuring, negotiating and documenting numerous contractual relationships, working with the company and state and local government authorities in connection with economic development incentives, as well as associated financings.

Mr. Grehan also has experience in drafting and negotiating domestic and international strategic alliance agreements, joint ventures, investment partnerships and other types of sophisticated commercial contracts, including, without limitation, professional consulting contracts, procurement contracts, construction and demolition contracts, and commercial real estate leases.  Mr. Grehan has been involved with privatization projects in Indonesia, and has experience in drafting and negotiating international procurement and services contracts.
