Jones Walker’s competitive compensation and benefits packages are designed to attract and retain the talent and experience that are integral in maintaining our firm’s premier reputation for quality and client service.

Compensation

  • Compensation at Jones Walker for lawyers and professional staff is extremely competitive and based on the market in which they work. Salary increases generally occur annually and are tied to performance evaluations and career development.

Insurance Benefits

  • Health Insurance: Lawyers and professional staff can take advantage of their choice of health insurance plans that offer coverage options for themselves and their dependents. Additional voluntary insurance plans are also available for dental and vision care.
  • Additional Insurance Coverage: All members of the Jones Walker team can also select from a menu of plans that include life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, short term disability, and long-term disability coverage.

Flexible Spending Accounts

  • Jones Walker offers two flexible spending account (FSA) options that employees fund with pre-tax dollars. The Healthcare FSA can be used to pay for unreimbursed eligible healthcare expenses. The Limited FSA is for employees enrolled in a high-deductible insurance plan and can be used to pay for eligible dental and vision expenses.

Health Savings Accounts

  • Jones Walker offers a Health Savings Account (HSA) for the purpose of paying or reimbursing qualified medical expenses for you, your spouse, and your dependents. An HSA may be established for individuals who meet certain eligibility requirement and are participating in a high deductible health plan.

Retirement Savings

  • Employees are eligible to participate in the Jones Walker Profit Sharing Retirement Plan on their hire date with the firm as an Eligible Employee. Beginning the January 1st or July 1st that coincides with or next follows your completion of two years of service, the firm may make annual matching and/or profit-sharing contributions on your behalf.
