Andy Lee, a partner in the Litigation Practice Group and head of the firm’s privacy and data security team, presented at the 4th Hemispheric Conference on Port Security: Competitive Advantages of Resilient Ports, hosted by the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) and the Organization of American States (OAS), on September 23, 2022. Andy delivered the keynote speech, “Legal Frameworks to Mitigate Cyber Risk in the Maritime Industry,” and discussed cyber threats in the ports and terminals sector.

Andy also presented the webinar “A US Federal Privacy Bill is On the Horizon: Get to Know the ADPPA,” hosted by OneTrust, on September 15, 2022. Andy provided an overview of the American Data Privacy & Protection Act (ADPPA), which is now pending in Congress, and addressed how it may impact or potentially displace state privacy laws and how it compares to other federal privacy laws.
