Jones Walker partner Robert Bailey Acomb, Jr. was featured in the Fall/Winter 2007 edition of Tulane Lawyer magazine in an article titled "Class Acts." The article highlighted alumni who serve as adjunct professors on a pro bono basis at Tulane University Law School, which permits the law school to offer a variety of courses in various fields of law. The article describes Mr. Acomb's involvement with the Admiralty Law Institute, which, since 1965, has raised more than $1 million for the development of the Tulane Maritime Law Center and the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. An alum of Tulane's law school in 1953, Mr. Acomb has served as adjunct faculty at Tulane Law since 1969, and notes in Tulane Lawyer his love of the profession.
